Elizabeth Taylor has revealed her grief toward the passing of her longtime friend, Michael Jackson.
She says, "My heart … my mind are broken. I loved Michael with all my soul and I can't imagine life without him. We had so much in common and we had such loving fun together."
Taylor was even planning to attend his live concert comeback, "I was packing up my clothes to go to London for his opening when I heard the news. I still can't believe it. I don't want to believe it. It can't be so."
She continued that Michael "will live in my heart forever, but it's not enough. My life feels so empty."
"I don't think anyone knew how much we loved each other. The purest, most giving love I've ever known. Oh God! I'm going to miss him. I can't yet imagine life with out him. I guess with God’s help … I'll learn. I keep looking at the photo he gave me of himself, which says, 'To my true love Elizabeth, I love you forever.' And, I will love HIM forever," Taylor said of their special relationship. |

Chestnut Lodge Burns
ROCKVILLE, Md. - A two-alarm fire consumed the famous psychiatric hospital and historical landmark known as “Chestnut Lodge” early Sunday morning.
Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer says the 911 call went out about 3 am after a neighbor’s dog started barking at the fire. When the firefighters arrived, Piringer says “they found about two floors of the six-story building on fire. About 15-20 minutes later, the upper floors collapsed into the basement.”
Originally built as a hotel for wealthy Washingtonians trying to escape the heat, the 120 year old building was converted into a world-renown psychiatric hospital in 1906. Named after the trees that once grew on the property, Chestnut Lodge was eventually abandoned and sold to developer Chase Properties in 2001.
Many think the building was haunted, a problem the new owners discovered they had to contend with. “They get dares from their friends to stay in the Lodge overnight,” Morty Levine of Chase Properties told Fox 5 in February 2008. “We’ve had to maintain security here. High security so nobody gets hurt.”
Levine took Fox 5 inside the Lodge last year to show how the company planned to transform the building into condominiums. Levine explained they first had to contend with highly-flammable materials left behind by the hospital, like a mountain of discarded medical gowns in the basement and large piles of shredded medical buildings in various rooms.
Firefighters say the large amount of debris will make it difficult to determine how the blaze started. The pile is so large and deep, they say it will continue to smolder for several days before being completely extinguished.
Even though no one was hurt, neighbors say they’re overwhelmed. "Now its just gone,” says neighbor Anne Marill. “Now its smoking, half of the building it was yesterday. Its sad."
“I’m heartbroken,” says Dotti Reick. “This is my childhood that has gone up in smoke.”
Reick says she grew up with the daughter of the doctor who owned the hospital. “I played in all of this area,” she says pointing to the building’s lawn. “Rode horseback. It was beautiful.”
She says the Lodge was one of the very last historical buildings left in Rockville. “What do we have left?” she asks. “All of these old things…I want to cry." |

There has been some speculation that the hanging death of actor David Carradine was a suicide. His reps want to put the rumor to rest and confirm that the tragedy was in fact an accident.
One that might have resulted from engaging in some kind of sex act!
An officer on the scene described finding Carradine's naked body hanging in his closet with rope around his neck as well as "other body parts". They weren't specific, but we can take a guess at what they are hinting at.
Carradine failed to show up to dinner with his crew and friends of the movie Stretch, which he was shooting at the time, on Wednesday but his comrades assumed he took a break because of his age. He was found this morning by the hotel maid, dead.
The body was transported to the hospital for an autopsy and no other new information will be available until tests are complete. |

It was reported early this morning that British actress Lucy Gordon was found dead on Wednesday.
She apparently hanged herself in her Paris, France, apartment.
Authorities are not running an investigation, claiming it is a "clear case of suicide."
The young actress was to turn 29 this week and was said to be devastated by the recent suicide of a friend, supplying a possible motive for her tragic death.
An agent for the actress confirmed that she "ended her own days."
Gordon had a film screening in Cannes this week: a biopic about singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg in which she played British actress Jane Birkin. She also has been seen in such films as Spider-Man 3, Serendipity, and Frost.
